Overview

Chevin is a desktop application that runs locally on your computer. This privacy policy explains how the application handles your data when you connect third-party services like Google Calendar.

Data Collection

We do not collect, store, or transmit your personal data to any external servers.

When you authorize Chevin to access services like Google Calendar:

• Authentication tokens are stored locally on your machine
• Calendar data is fetched directly from Google's servers to your local application
• No data passes through any intermediary servers operated by Autonet

Data Storage

All data is stored locally on your device:

• OAuth tokens: Stored in your local application data directory
• Cached data: Stored temporarily in local memory during application use
• No cloud sync or remote storage is used

Third-Party Services

When you connect third-party services (e.g., Google Calendar), you are subject to their respective privacy policies:

Chevin only requests the minimum permissions necessary to provide the functionality you enable.

Data Sharing

We do not share, sell, or transfer your data to any third parties. Since all data remains on your local machine, there is nothing to share.

Data Security

• All communication with third-party APIs uses encrypted HTTPS connections
• Authentication tokens are stored using your operating system's standard secure storage mechanisms
• No data leaves your machine except direct API calls to services you've authorized

Your Rights

Since all data is stored locally on your device, you have full control:

• Access: All data is on your machine
• Deletion: Uninstall the application or delete the local data directory
• Revocation: Revoke access tokens through the respective service's account settings (e.g., Google Account permissions)

Any changes to this privacy policy will be reflected in the application repository and this document's "Last updated" date.
